Vulnerability Spotlight: Pidgin Vulnerabilities

Talos has identified multiple vulnerabilities in the way Pidgin handles the MXit protocol. The vulnerabilities fall into the following four categories: Information Leakage, Denial Of Service, Directory Traversal, Buffer Overflow and DoS. Talos also discovered six vulnerabilities in six vulnerabilities discovered in the Pidgen chat client as part of the software that enables you to communicate on multiple chat networks simultaneously. DoS vulnerabilities include a leak of sensitive information from the end of a file which can potentially leak sensitive information by appending a file.”]
