Snort rule update for Feb. 2, 2021

Cisco Talos released the newest rule set for SNORT Tuesday morning. There are multiple rules in this release that protect against Generickdz which is often the generic name given to Windows trojans. The Snort 3 release is also here after years of development and improvements. You can subscribe to Talos’ newest rule detection functionality for as low as $29 a year with a personal account with the personal account. The new rules will prevent the malware from downloading its final payload. There were no changes made to the snort.conf.”]
