Hron: The problem with IoT security is because the devices are built using technology protocols that date back to the 1980s. The protocol is meant as a subscriber/publisher model, and works like an RSS feed: you subscribe to a topic, and the payload is delivered to all subscribers. There is no standard for the format of data it transports it will carry virtually any payload. The protocol itself is secure, if implemented and configured incorrectly, severe security issues can arise.”]
