Attack on Google’s core

Anonymous source claims to have inside information on Google’s investigation into the January cyber-attack. Hackers gained access to Google’s Gaia system, which is used to authenticate services such as Gmail and Google Apps. The Chinese government has denied any involvement in the attack. Google has so far declined to comment on the details surrounding the incident. The company is reported to have implemented additional security measures to protect its systems following the incident what these consist of has not been revealed. The attack started with an instant message sent to a Google employee in China which contained a link to a crafted website.”]
