Human rights research group Citizen Lab published a report on the use of Sandvine network gear to deliver spyware and cryptocurrency miners. Sandvine asked the experts to delay publication of the report, claiming that the researchers intentionally provided incorrect information to the University of Toronto and Citizen Lab. The research group also asked Sandvine to return the second-hand Sandvine device they used in their investigation. The report was published by Citizen Lab on March 8, 2018, and Sandvine responded by sending a letter to the university of Toronto.”]
