Bad Rabbit ransomware rapidly spreads, Ukraine and Russia most targeted countries

A new strain of malware dubbed Bad Rabbit ransomware has been found rapidly spreading in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Japan, and Turkey. Bad Rabbit is Petya-like malware that is targeting corporate networks. The malicious code demands 0.05 bitcoin ransom (~ $280) from victims to unlock their systems. The Odessa International Airport has reported on a cyberattack on its information system, but it is still unclear it is the same attack. Experts from Kaspersky Lab believe the Dab Rabbit ransomware is spread via drive-by download attacks.”]
