Microsoft Reportedly Adding Two-Factor Authentication to User Accounts

Microsoft reportedly will implement two-factor authentication on users accounts at some point down the line, according to reports. Microsoft could neither confirm nor deny reports, a spokesperson only claimed that security and privacy is a priority for Microsoft Apple just added the functionality to its iTunes and App Store accounts last month. Google s Gmail added two-step authentication in 2011 in hopes of upping its security, but researchers ultimately found a way around it by exploiting a vulnerability that allowed the guessing or stealing of a user’s application-specific password.
