German police raided two privacy-focused privacy groups’ homes and offices. Police raided offices and homes of three members of the Zwiebelfreunde group. The raids were in relation to the RiseUp project, a provider of anonymous XMPP and email services. Police said the owner of a RiseUp email address registered a site called Krawalltouristen – translated as Ruckus Tourist – on which it organized protests against the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party convention.
