A data leak of 33 million accounts for the QIP.RU Russian instant messaging service has been reported. The leak contains a total of 33,380,559 records that include email addresses, usernames, passwords, and other related fields dating from 2009-2011. The most common domain name in the breach is mail.ru with 9,767,726 accounts, followed by yandex.ru. Users need to start using better and unique passwords at sites they visit.
