Digital communication is connecting people around the globe with tremendous benefits, but is also being misused in terrible ways that take advantage of the community. We are bombarded by misinformation posing as facts, leading to terrible fractures, victimization, and grief. Something must be done to curb this growing trend and restore the mechanisms that provide factual reporting of news. We need a viable framework that provides both freedom of speech, but liberty requires truth ‘ and we need a framework. The idea is simple to understand but potentially challenging to implement.
