BSIMM6 Data Shows Poor Health Care Software Security

The sixth version of the Building Security in Maturity Model (BSIMM) has been released today. For the first time, it includes data on the software security practices of health care organizations. Health care is falling short in all 12 practices, says Gary McGraw, chief technology officer of Citigal. The first BSIMM health care measurement shows that health care is starting at the bottom, well behind leading organizations in the ISV and financial vertical markets, and even IoT. Health care, he says, will catch up in a similar fashion.
