The two executives are alleged to have absconded with over 100,000 confidential Starwood documents. The documents constituted a blueprint for a new line of lifestyle hotels. The two have not yet been charged with stealing the documents, but were personally barred from working for the hotel chain for two years as part of the agreement. In December, 2010, Hilton paid the two executives $75 million in cash and promised another $75million in hotel-related contracts.
