Gumblar is a botnet of infected Web servers that has become the new model for Web-based malware. The malware is about the business of stealing Web site credentials and compromising as many legitimate sites as possible. The botnet has highlighted the horrific state of Web application security and highlighted the state of security in the U.S. Security experts say it has become a new model of malware that can be dangerous for the Web application system to be compromised by Web site owners and users. The Botnet has been dubbed “Gumblar”” by security researchers.”
