Electronic Privacy Information Center filed a 38-page complaint against Facebook with the Federal Trade Commission. Facebook said new features introduced in mid-April that compel users to share more information than before could cut its advertising business in half. While privacy experts praised Apple s upcoming iOS 14 updates, Facebook said the new features could cut the ad-tech giant’s advertising revenue in half by a fraction of what it expects to see in the next few years. The company has also been hit with privacy fallout after Cambridge Analytica and a slew of security challenges.
