The FBI released their IC3 2015 Internet Crime Report that provides a breakdown of various Internet related criminal activity that was reported to them over the year. Business Email Compromise, Email Account Compromising, and Ransomware are the hot topics this year with huge losses shown in all three categories. The statistics in this report are based on the U.S. victim’s that actually reported the loss and activity to the FBI. The scale of the attacks and losses generated is incredible. I am scared to see what 2016 will bring.
