Scam Browser Notification Prompts Increased by 69% in 2019

A new report by Kaspersky shows a 69% increase in ad and scam notifications since January 1st through September 30th, 2019. Chrome and Firefox users are increasingly being bombarded with unwanted ads for dating sites, scam sites, unwanted browser extensions, and even malware. Chrome will now display a list of sites that you are subscribed to or have blocked. Mozilla is making changes in how Firefox displays these notification prompts and is working on new ways to block them from being shown. Chrome users can remove notifications by going into their browser settings to remove them.
