Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users of Sophos Endpoint Security and Control and Sophos Central Endpoint Standard/Advanced will find their computer hanging at the configuring updates screen while installing the May 2019 Patch Tuesday updates. The KB4499164 update is a Windows 7 update titled “2019-05 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7″” and the “”Security Only Quality Update”” is a security-only update for Windows Server 2012 R2. Sophos states that you can uninstall the update in Safe Mode in order to allow the computer to boot as normal.”
