Ransomware and advanced SIM swapping are also on the rise in underground marketplaces, said researchers. DDoS services that charge hourly rates are also becoming increasingly popular, they said. A successful RDP attack is lucrative for cybercriminals as it gives them remote access to the target computer with the same permissions, and access to data and folders, that a legitimate user would have.
