Fraudsters Spoof Blockchain.com to Steal $27M in Cryptocurrency

Law enforcement agencies in Europe arrested a group of six individuals for emptying cryptocurrency wallets of at least 4,000 victims by setting up a website that impersonated Blockchain.com. The fraudsters used typosquatting to achieve their purpose – a technique by which an attacker uses a domain name – and sometimes interface, similar to that of a popular website but it has a typing error in it. This method allowed the fraudsters to steal more than ..22million worth of cryptocurrency from victims in 12 countries.
