German govt urges iOS users to patch critical Mail app flaws

Germany’s federal cybersecurity agency urges iOS users to install iOS and iPadOS security updates to patch two actively exploited zero-click security vulnerabilities impacting the default email app. Apple released iOS 13.5 and 13.4.5 security updates on May 20 to patch the bugs. The MailDemon security flaws were addressed by Apple with the release of iOS 13. The attacks were directed at against high-profile targets but regular users won’t be directly targeted until exploits for the two bugs fall in the hands of threat actors with less ambitious goals.
