Cybercriminals Batter Automakers With Ransomware, IP Theft Cyberattacks

Cybercriminals are recognizing that the data that automotive companies have to offer from customer and employee personal identifiable information (PII) to financial data is invaluable. Paul Prudhomme, cyber-threat intelligence analyst at IntSights, warned in new research that automotive cyberattacks are on the rise. He says the low hanging fruit isn t so much the the the vehicles themselves, but more ransomware attacks and compromising customer data, and employee data.
