Arizona Lawmaker Wants to Tax Porn to Fund Border Security

Arizona Representative Gail Griffin proposed the House Bill 2444 which requires a $20 porn tax to access adult content using an Internet-connected device. The money would be used to fund border security and dream centers. Similar bills have been proposed in recent years in Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, Utah, Rhode Island and South Carolina. The bill appears to be linked to a man named Chris Sevier, who has been behind similar measures and runs a website named Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.
