Malwarebytes researchers have discovered a new malvertising campaign targeting adult websites. Malvertising led users to RIG EK spreading the Ramnit banking trojan. The campaign targeted users from Canada and the UK in the past. Ramnit is known to have targeted Canadian users in its heyday. The Ramnit trojan’s botnet survived a sinkhole attempt by Europol in early 2015 and has been slowly returning to its previous numbers. Researchers say the campaign targeted adult portals such as See and Justporno.tv.
