Microsoft has released Windows Terminal v0.7 and with it comes a bunch of new features that are sure to make fans of the tabbed console happy. Windows Terminal now has a split pane feature that lets you open different consoles from within the same window. The ability to select the shell you wish to launch in a pane will be coming in a later version of Windows Terminal. The other new feature is the ability to suppress the automatic naming of a tab so that you can display a custom name for the profile tab.
