MITRE updates list of top 25 most dangerous software bugs

MITRE has shared a list of the most common and dangerous weaknesses plaguing software in the last two years. MITRE developed the list using Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) data from 2019 and 2020 obtained from the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) This year’s top 25 list is dangerous because they are usually easy to discover, have a high impact, and are prevalent in software released in software. The list below provides insight to the community at large into the most critical and current software security weaknesses.
