The botnet masters behind the most efficient social engineering driven botnet, Koobface, launched a new campaign currently spreading across Facebook with a new template spoofing Adobe s Flash updater embedded within a fake YouTube page. Researchers identify malware existing in popular add-ons for Facebook, Vimeo, Instagram and others that are commonly used in browsers from Google and Microsoft. The relentless rise in COVID-19 cases is battering already frayed healthcare systems and ransomware criminals are using the opportunity to strike.
