Sprint Accounts Breached by Hackers Using Samsung Site

U.S. telco Sprint says hackers used Samsung.com’s “Add A Line”” website as a springboard in their attack. Sprint says it took “”appropriate action to secure”” the accounts and did not identify “”any fraudulent activity associated”” with them at the time the letter was sent. Sprint advises affected clients to take all the precautionary steps needed to prevent any identity theft incidents as recommended by the Federal Trade Commission. The company did not disclose the exact number of accounts affected by the breach.”
