A new Game Boy emulator written in Go has been released that offers the interesting ability of making your games accessible over the Internet using Telnet. The games available include Dr. Mario, Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening, Super Mario Land, Pokemon – Blue Version, and more as shown below. The online games are rendered using ANSI and are not as visually appealing, but it illustrates how emulators can extend their features to the Internet. Using Telnet to connect to a remote game make it more interesting, but not necessarily make it fun.
