Marketing services firm Epsilon has begun to rebuild the security of its e-mail marketing platform. The firm has unveiled an array of enhancements they claim will mitigate electronic crimes in motion Those steps include alerts based on suspicious activity and using two-factor authentication to limit access to the company s platform. News of the compromise at Epsilon first surfaced in early April when it was reported that on March 30 there had been an unauthorized entry in the firm’s database. While the information exposed was limited to customer names and e-mails addresses, dozens of corporations, including Best Buy and Target were included.
