Anti-virus vendor Kaspersky Labs warned users yesterday that they should scan virgin systems for malware before connecting them to the Internet. The company’s recently-released Security for Ultra Portables was installed on an M&A Companion Touch netbook purchased for testing. The $499 netbook was designed for the school market and found three pieces of malware on the device. The malware is the latest in a series of attacks on a brand new Windows XP netbook that was released in March.
