Microsoft Warns on Scareware Alerts

The best way to combat this is for windows users to know which process’s are supposed to be running, to KNOW which ports are open. These will take basic education of the file system and OS, and a basic understanding of tcpip. I kind of wish Microsoft would have made a firewall allowing control of all 65k ports, as opposed to the ICS cruft. Windows needs an iptables equal. And not some third party stuff. I’m not sure how long this will never happen.
