Researchers Compromise Netflix Content in Widevine DRM Hack

Researchers have used a proof-of-concept (PoC) side-channel attack to download an unencrypted raw file for Netflix Stranger Things, in a format that s ready to distribute out to any buyer on the internet. Researchers at Fidus Information Security, who developed the PoC, say they won t publish the code or further details given the repercussions could be significant given the fact that the attack could be done so quickly.
