The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has reached a settlement with Florida spyware vendor CyberSpy Software, two years after suing the company for selling 100 percent undetectable keylogging software. Goontact lures users of illicit sites through Telegram and other secure messaging apps and steals their information for future fraudulent use. Google, Microsoft, Cisco Systems and others want appeals court to deny immunity to Israeli company for its alleged distribution of spyware and illegal cyber-surveillance activities.
