DDoS attacks were way up year-over-year in the second quarter as people continue to work from home. The typical annual trend for DDoS is for attacks to spike at the beginning of the year, during the peak season for businesses; while they tend to fall off in late spring and summer. Mainland China (65.12 percent), the United States (20.28 percent) and Hong Kong (6.08 percent) were the most-attacked geographies. The biggest number of attacks per day was almost 300 this quarter (April 9), while in the first quarter, the record was 242.
