Larry Dean Harmon, 36, from Akron, Ohio, was charged with laundering more than $310 million worth of Bitcoin cryptocurrency while operating the dark web Helix Bitcoin mixer between 2014 and 2017. Harmon allegedly owned and operated dark web search engine Grams starting with April 2014. He also started operating Helix, a Bitcoin mixer or tumbler that allowed anyone to “launder”” their bitcoins by concealing their true owner for a fee. Harmon was able to launder at least around 354
