GitHub shuts down Popcorn Time repositories due to MPA DMCA notice

Popcorn Time is a BitTorrent client with an integrated media player and streaming TV shows and movies that can be streamed and watched directly in the client. Yesterday, GitHub shut down two repositories belonging to the video streaming video streaming client. The MPA sent a DMCA infringement notice from the Motion Picture Association. GitHub likely will stay neutral and let courts decide if the notification should be enforced. Developers say code in these disabled repositories is “100% ours and do not contain any copyright material please check again”””
