Akamai is investigating an ongoing outage affecting many major websites and online services. Steam, the PlayStation Network, Newegg, Amazon, Google, and Salesforce are among those affected. The outage was not the result of a cyberattack on the Akamasi platform. The company has now implemented a fix to address the ongoing issue and expects service to return to normal for all customers. The disruption lasted up to an hour and the outage lasted an hour, the company said in an incident notice.
