Man Pleads Guilty to Stealing Bitcoin From Other Dark Web Criminals

Michael Richo, 35, of Wallingford, Connecticut, pleaded guilty to stealing Bitcoin worth of $365,000. He used his technical skills to set up phishing sites for Dark Web marketplaces. The FBI found over 10,000 stolen credentials on equipment seized from his house following a search warrant. He faces up to 10 years in prison for one count of access device fraud, and 20 years for money laundering. His sentencing is scheduled on September 28, 2017; Richo is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
