Carriers, developers and phone makers are rolling out new services and features to protect mobile devices from malicious attacks and data breaches. There will be a “consumerization of IT,” where more employees will be using their personal mobile devices, including smartphones, laptops and tablets, for work purposes. Some of the security features are already available within the smartphone operating system, according to security expert Chris Knotts. Some companies are already addressing those needs, with BlackBerry Protect and McAfee reselling its device management software.
