SolarWinds Hackers Stole Some Source Code for Microsoft Azure, Exchange, Intune

Microsoft concludes its probe into the SolarWinds hack, finding that the attackers stole some source code but no evidence they abused its internal systems to target other companies or gain access to production services or customer data. Microsoft said the attacks have reinforced the need to embrace the “Zero Trust” mindset and protect privileged credentials. The entire espionage campaign leveraged the trust associated with its software to insert malicious code that was then distributed to as many as 18,000 of its customers. Microsoft in January recommended organizations to adopt a “zero trust mentality”
