FBI adds 5 Chinese APT41 hackers to its Cyber’s Most Wanted List

APT41, also known as ‘Barium,’ ‘Winnti, ‘Wicked Panda,’ and “Wicked Spider” Cyber-espionage group has been operating since at least 2012 and is behind financially motivated attacks against online gaming industry. 2 Malaysian hackers were arrested by Malaysian authorities in September 2020, and are being extradited to the U.S. The FBI confirmed that all 5 Chinese nationals remain at large and all 5 are still at large. The hackers are associated with network security company Chengdu 404 Network Technology, operated as a front by the People’s Republic of China.
