The Center for Internet Security (CIS) officially launched CIS Controls v8. The latest version of the Controls now includes cloud and mobile technologies. There are now 18 top-level Controls and 153 Safeguards dispersed amongst the three Implementation Groups (IGs) There are no longer 20 CIS Controls. The CIS Controls ecosystem has been (or soon will be) updated as well. There’s even a new CIS Control: Service Provider Management, that provides guidance on how enterprises can manage their cloud services.
