A poll on Byte and Switch, “Sun Down,” paints a bleak outlook for Sun storage, says George Crump. The poll suggests that 57% say that Sun storage should exit the storage hardware business. He says Sun storage has tried to innovate in the past — products like the T3 and others come to mind. Crump: “If Sun storage doesn’t make the hard choice of option one or two, it may be the only viable one, albeit ugly, but it may also be ugly.”]
