Comparitech’s “2019 US Cybersecurity Salary & Employment Study” used 10 different and equally weighted criteria to identify the best and the worst states in the US for cybersecurity professionals. Virginia, Texas, Colorado, New York and North Carolina are the top five states for cybersecurity jobs. Vermont, Indiana, Montana, and Maine fared the worst in the study. The average cybersecurity salaries in each of these states were substantially lower than the national average of $92,789, according to Comparitech. New Mexico had the biggest difference in salaries was 80.34% higher than the state average for other employment.”]
