Symantec Sinkholes Chunk Of Massive Click-Fraud Botnet

Researchers at Symantec intercepted and redirected more than a half-million machines infected by the click-fraud botnet ZeroAccess. ZeroAccess is one of the world’s largest peer-to-peer botnets, with 1.9 million bots. The ZeroAccess gang makes tens of millions of dollars a year on click fraud, which generates phony clicks on false ads for payment. The majority of the infected ZeroAccess bots are consumer machines, with about 80 to 90 percent of them infected.”]
