Attackers targeted financial services firms across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia. Attacker sent extortion note that threatened to disrupt websites and services with a DDoS attack if demanded ransom was not paid. No one that received the threat reported paying a ransom, the information sharing center said in a statement this week.
