Cybercriminals are reusing code and techniques that have worked before, making malware stronger and more difficult to defend against. The Zealot campaign uses Apache Struts (CVE-2017-5638) and DotNetNuke ASP.NET Content Management System vulnerabilities. The attackers also use the EternalBlue and EternalSynergy exploits that were let out by the Shadow Brokers earlier in this year. These exploits only are effective on systems that have not been patched already for these known vulnerabilities, according to F5 Networks.”]
