Cobalt Group Returns With Downloader Malware

The Cobalt Group is using a modular downloader in its latest campaign, researchers say. The cybercriminal gang is using the CobInt malware, which was dubbed “CobInt” by Group-IB. Cobalt has made a name for itself for stealing millions of dollars from banks and ATMs in Europe and Russia. The group’s suspected leader was arrested in March, but the group’s efforts have since been thwarted, experts say. Modular downloaders are designed to enable attackers to modify and update the software after it has been installed.”]
