Using DNS Data for Cybercrime Intelligence

Paul Vixie is one of the engineers who designed the original protocols for the Domain Name System. He says DNS provides a rich source of data that can help organizations defend themselves against cybercrime. Vixie says organizations should run their own DNS resolvers which sit in between authoritative name servers and clients to keep the internet more resilient. He was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in 2014 for his work on the DNS protocol. Vixixi: “Theres nothing about the average home network that cant tolerate an extra DNS server””]
