Trump’s COVID-19 Illness Sparks Phishing Campaigns

Security Researchers find fraudsters deploying phishing emails using the presidents health as a lure. Several hundred organizations in the U.S. and Canada have already been targeted by phishing campaigns. The phishing campaign was designed to spread malware via BazaLoader, a first-stage downloader. The emails contain links to landing pages hosted on Google Docs that, if enabled, will download Baza loader. Bazaloader is a backdoor that enables an attacker to execute additional malware modules.”]
